Why are people in Britain having less sex?

What are the reasons people are having less sex?

If it feels like your sex life hasn't been particularly actively lately, know that you are not alone. According to a new article from the Daily Mail, British couples are having sex much less frequently than they were in 2013. Although the survey conducted by the news source dealt with the British people exclusively, the reasons behind having sex less often can easily belong to people all across the globe.

The people who took the survey were initially asked, on average, how many times they sleep with their partner every week. British couples, according to the news source, are in bed together twice a week. Of the people who answered all of the questions nearly half – 41 percent – said they were having sex much less often than they were just a year ago. When people are more focused on other aspects of their lives it's often sex that suffers the most.

The biggest reasons that British people are having less sex in 2014 are very largely work-related. Thirty-seven percent of respondents to the poll said that financial worries and anxiety over their economic future was taking a toll on their sex lives, while 34 percent blamed longer hours being spent in the office. Even though people were having sex far less frequently, the survey also stressed the importance of it for couples – 58 percent said they feel happier and more secure in their relationships when having sex more frequently.
